Everyone has a tale to tell. Here, at okra., we want to help tell every good Southern story we can, and we need your help to get this done! We’d love for you to submit your stories so we can share them with the world.
So tell us about your favorite memory, or even just a great tale. And if you have a photograph to go along with it, that makes it even better. If your story is selected we’ll publish it on our website as a part of “Your South”. Simply email it to us at submissions@okramagazine.com We can’t wait to read them!
How To Submit
Submitted stories should be 500 – 1,000 words. We prefer a Word document, but we’ll accept it if you simply write in the body of your email.
Have photographs you want to include with your story?
We ask you limit them to 2 images per story. Each image should be 72 dpi and a minimum of 5” x 7” in size (or 360 x 480 pixels).
If you are submitting images for the magazine, please email those images to submissions@okramagazine.com and make sure the subject line reads photos for magazine.
Images for print should be 300 dpi and a minimum of 8” x 10” (or 2400 x 3200 pixels).
